Such a Fabulous Friday!!

As you may have read in my previous post, my day started off bright and early (3:45am!...alarm was set for 3 but that didn't happen). I cuddled with my kitty cat and watched the Royal Wedding :) I wasn't that excited for the event in the weeks leading up to it, but I decided that I didn't want to miss such an historic event. I'm glad I changed my mind because I enjoyed watching...and snacking on some peanut butter cookies in the wee hours of the morning! So the #1 reason why this Friday is so Fabulous has got to be because the world has a new princess (even though she doesn't have that official title yet). The world has a new Duchess/Baroness/Countess!


Is it just me, or does Kate look like a brunette Lauren Conrad?

The #2 reason why today is FAB is because I walked in to American Eagle and bought the first pair of jeans that I tried on (that alone is a miracle) for $14!! Ladies and gentlemen, this may be the one and only time I will ever experience the wonder of shopping like a normal sized person! Being 5'10", my pants are either perfect in the waist and wayyy too short or a great length and baggy in the waist and thigh. I immediately bought them and went straight home to put them on. I may or may not wear them for the entire weekend ;-) P.S. Much thanks to whoever blogged about AE jeans recently, because your post stuck in my head and now I have my new favorite jeans!

#3: Low-fat Strawberry Smoothie from Panera

This needs no explanation except for "Yum!"


#4: I went to the library to pick up a book on hold (about writing cover letters- borrrrring) and they had another book ready for me too- Lauren Conrad's Style! I guess I know what I'm doing for the rest of the afternoon. ...Reading Style, not writing cover letters.



#5: It is a sunny 57° today here in Madison. LOVE!


#6: I got a coupon through Groupon for 51% of a Shellic manicure at a local salon! It doesn't expire until November so I could save it for one of the four weddings I'm going to this summer (including mine!)...or I could get it next week. We'll see how patient I am!

Yes, I'm one of the crazy people that got up to watch the royal wedding! 3am came quite early, and I missed the first 45 minutes of coverage. I thoroughly enjoyed watching it and I can't even image how Kate must be feeling right now as she rides to Buckingham Palace. I loooove her dress! It's classy, simple, and the perfect mix of conservative and flattering. [one] Breakfast: hardboiled egg, oatmeal with brown sugar, & OJ
[two] Our Easter baskets (from Target): Reese's Pieces, gum, & fruit snacks! I tried to be as healthy as possible :)
[three] Afternoon snack: a white chocolate mocha and the BEST coffee cake everrr from Barnes and Noble Cafe. Seriously, go get one now, then come back and thank me.

The Dynamic Duo is BACK :)

1. Kerri Walsh and Misty May-Treanor are pairing up again!! The USA beach volleyball duo will be competing for their 3rd Olympic gold. I am now even more excited for the Olympics :) Check these girls out!!

2. My furbaby, Bert, is healthy! We took him to his first (under our care) vet appointment on Friday and received a good report. He was not happy about the trip, but enjoyed the treats he got upon returning home!








3. I like unnecessary belts. What I mean by this is, the belts that go over shirts instead of holding up your pants. JD's friends make fun of this trend because the belts don't serve their intended purpose. However, I have recently discovered that unnecessary belts are a great way to add an accessory to your outfit and create a shape if you're wearing a shirt that's not fitted.

4. My dream job is to be a professional organizer. I don't know the first thing about starting my own business, so I would prefer to work for a company that hires out organizers. Buuuut I have never heard of such a thing. As of right now, my plan is to research local professional organizers and see if I can get an internship of sorts. Any tips on changing my career path??

5. Today I learned about photosynthesis (again). I subbed in an 8th grade science classroom. The students took a quiz on cells and then read about photosynthesis. As if listening to the kids struggle with the word "photosynthesis" wasn't bad enough, one kid mispronounced "organism" like...yanno. Laughter erupted and it was difficult for me to keep a straight face!
