Pinterest {Seriously, what else would I blog about on Wednesday?}

It's wedding week! Yesterday was a whirlwind of planning 4 days for a sub and coaching a volleyball game (which we won btw; SO proud of how my girls have done this season). Today JD and I are headed to Buckeye Nation. For the next couple of days, we'll be hanging out with our families and doing some last minute planning. Then, we tie the knot on Saturday :) Yay!

I've been a bad blogger lately, but today I'm going to share items from everyone's favorite website, Pinterest. That will make you forgive me, right?
    I thought so.

    Fall Foods
    Caramel Apple Crisp

    Sloppy Joe Grilled Cheese- GENIUS.

Cowboy Casserole- made this a few nights ago and i LOVE it. One small change to the recipe via Pinterest...use sausage instead of ground beef. I think it gives it more flavor.

    Cheesy Chicken and Rice

    Chicken Chili

    Stuffed Chicken

Obvi I'm a meat lover. Sorry all you veggies out there :)

Click here to see my "I Eat" Pin board and get all these fab recipes.

You can bet wedding pictures will find their way on here after the big day. Probably a few days after the big day. But they WILL get here.

Have a wonderful rest of the week and weekend!

    xoxo

Fall Fancies

I'm a day late for this link up, but here is my Friday's Fancies for this week :) All about being cozy this fall!

    Fall

Gotta love leggings, sweater dresses, and boots! Sounds like the perfect outfit to me.

Currently watching the Buckeye game with my fiance. Got my nails done this morning...we've attempted the seating chart....and we're planning on printing some more programs tonight.

    Wedding in 7 days!!

    Have a wonderful weekend, everyone!

    Have a wonderful weekend, everyone!

12 days.

    Miscellany Monday @lowercase letters
I haven't linked up with anyone in quite some time (truly a shocker, I know). I decided that since my life is a crazy jumble of work, wedding, and trying to stay sane, Miscellany Monday would be the perfect jump back into the blog world. I'm hoping to actually get more than 1 post in this week. We'll see.

    (1) JD and I finally got our programs exactly the way we want them. I have a love-hate relationship with Microsoft Word so after messing with these things for months, I gave in . Tiny spacing issues aren't going to ruin my big day. The designs may not be centered perfectly and each program may have slightly different margins, but we will still be married! That last part is going to be my mantra for the next 12 days. 12 days! whaaaaaaaat? INSANE.

Here is a picture of the crossword puzzle we created so people have something to do while they wait for the ceremony to start.
The title is "How well do you know the bride and groom?" And a few of the questions are
    "The couples' is named Bert"
    "Sarah's college major"
"Restaurant where JD took Sarah on their first date."
"Technical color the bridesmaids' dresses; a wine punch"

    Do you know any answers??

I know I've blogged about these 4 things before :)
    (2) Today marks the 12th day of school. Wow, 12 is the magic number. Maybe I'll find $12 dollars today. Or magically lose 12 lbs....after the wedding because my dress is form fitting ;-) Maybe I'll be 12 minutes early for everything so I can relax a little bit. Rush, rush, rush has been my life lately.
    I digress....
School is going well, despite the feeling I have of going in fast-forward. With school plus volleyball, I'm away from home for 12 hours (yes, there's that magic number again). Then I make and eat dinner and I'm dead to the world by 8:30. ha! If I can get a handle on prepping for 3 classes and 1 practice every day, I may have time to actually sit down at work, too.
All complaining aside, I'm enjoying my job and I'm thankful to be employed!!

    (3) Wednesday= new The Middle and new Modern Family.
    Hells-to-the-yes.
    Then, Thursday= new Grey's Anatomy.
    Score.
Oh, and if you watched The Emmy's last night, I'm sure you saw how super awesome Modern Family did. Well, I went to bed before the awards were over, but they won the first 4 in a row! How did the rest of the night go??

Ok, I need to get myself together and head out. I wish everyone a happy Monday (and a fabulous week if I don't get to posting again)!

    xoxo,
    Sarah

apology.

    I'm sorry!
Okay, that really had nothing to do with our situation, but I thought it was funny.

I apologize for being absent on Mr. Blog lately.
The combo of coaching and being a first year teacher requires a lot of time and energy!

Speaking of school, here's an update:
I love my 6th graders. My 7th graders test my patience on a daily basis, but (for the most part) I love them too :) My day consists of
    READING x 2
WORLD CULTURES AND GEOGRAPHY x 2
    LUNCH
p.s.- My lunch NEVER looks like this.  I'm lucky if I get an apple and a 100 cal pack of Pringles down.
    STUDY HALL
haha Middle schoolers would definitely agree with this.

    PREP
    and

    LANGUAGE ARTS x 2

And right after school, it's time for

My team is doing well. I coach the JV-B team...basically the girls who would have gotten cut or sat the bench had there been a cut policy. I have a couple freshmen, a couple juniors, and mostly sophomores. We don't play a conference games and we don't get to travel with the other teams at our school. Instead, we have a schedule compiled of matches with any school who wanted to play us. We play regular JV teams, other JV-B teams, and freshmen teams. This past weekend we placed 2nd in a freshman tourney and tonight we beat a regular JV team! Not too shabby.

I'm looking forward to reading and commenting on blogs this weekend. I haven't forgotten about all of you!!

    Have a great week :)

    Its Ok Thursdays

    It's OK....

....that I just made a list of chores for JD to do after work and it included everything that needs to be done. That's right- I didn't leave anything for me. He gets home earlier than I do...he can use that time wisely :-P

....that I use my teacher talk around the house (and on the blog- see above).

....that as much as I'm excited to be a full time classroom teacher, I did NOT want to get out of bed this morning. Every year on the first day of school (kindergarten-college) I would have a hard time sleeping the night before and jump out of bed right when my alarm went off. Not today, folks.

....that I've already decided I'm not coaching volleyball next year. I love the game, but the additional planning and time is too much. Maybe I'll pick it up again in a few years.

....that I wrote "It was good to see you last week!" on Thank You Notes to people that I saw TWO weeks ago. Oops. Apparently I blocked out a few days in my mind.

....that I still have copies to make for my 3rd and 4th period classes. At first I was worried about being judged like "Ohhh, the new teacher isn't prepared.", but I'm over that. I was at school every single day this week working on stuff so if people think that they can just shove it.

....that I tell people to "shove it" in my thoughts.

    Have a fabulous Monday everyone!!
